The Sanamahi cheng hongba festival of Manipur is a ritual festival of the Meitei community and is celebrated on the full moon day of June or July ( Inga ). It is mainly celebrated by offering rice and other food items to the diety.

How Ningol chakouba festival of Manipur is observed?

In Ningol Chakoub Ningol (Married sister) is invited to the parental home along with kids and enjoys big meals together. In meals like fish, chicken, vegetables, etc.

And Dakshina piba is also done, as a small offering to sister and their children. On the second day of the new moon in the Manipuri calendar month of October or November Hiyangei.

YAOSHANG FESTIVAL OF MANIPUR

Unlike the holi, yaoshang festival of Manipur has a unique taste and it commences from the full moon day of phalgum i.e Feb or march. In this occasion, thabal chongba dance is also performed to represent the unity of Manipur, Sumang Leela also organised, chitrahaar programs, quiz and sports competitions on local clubs in Manipur. In Manipur there exist a Club for each and every Leikai. In a leikai a group of people lives and share the same Community hall and other matters.
